We welcome referrals to our community programme for anyone living with a diagnosis of dementia or undergoing assessment for dementia, interested in connecting socially and open to exploring their creative instincts using the arts. No arts experience is necessary to join!
We accept self-referrals alongside referrals from local Dementia Advisors, GP surgeries, Link Workers, the Memory Service and other local organisations.
Everyone will receive an initial telephone or home-based welcome call, and we will discuss with the individual their interests and hobbies, supporting them in deciding what other activities they may like to engage with. They will then be supported through one, or more of our three programmes as below:
Resonate Now
We offer occasional ‘stay in touch calls’ alongside ‘Resonate Now’ - our monthly news and events listings. We regularly review our participants' interests and needs to see if they would like to engage with any of our other programmes.
Creative Befrienders
We will match the participant with a volunteer who is passionate about the arts and together they will share stories and interests and explore a range of creative activity.
Arts projects and events
Offering wider social opportunities alongside connections with music, opera, visual arts and museums. These are offered both in-person and digitally. Participants can choose to simply watch or listen, or take a more active role if they wish.
