Meet the team

Resonate Arts is led by a voluntary board of trustees and small staff team. We work in partnership with freelance artists across all art forms and regularly develop projects in collaboration with arts and healthcare organisations. Our volunteer Creative Befrienders support our events and build relationships with individuals living in the community.

Sam Curtis (he/him)
Director

Sam is an artist and curator who, in a past-life, also worked as a fishmonger. Having graduated from the MFA Art Practice programme at Goldsmiths College in 2005, he went on to exhibit his artwork internationally and worked on commissions with Whitechapel Gallery,  Serpentine Galleries, Turner Contemporary, CREATE London and Eastside Projects.

Previously Sam worked for an adult education provider, leading learning programmes for people experiencing homelessness. He was also Curator at Bethlem Gallery for eight years where he supported artists with a connection to the South London and Maudsley NHS Trust in developing their work, in co-producing exhibitions and public events.

Sam is excited to be working with the brilliant team at Resonate Arts and to be leading the charity’s development and growth. He joined Resonate Arts in May 2022.
