Resonate Arts has offered five Remembering Together projects. People living with dementia and their family carers join in weekly reminiscence arts sessions to help reduce isolation through creating friendship and support. There is a big emphasis on having fun together, using the arts as a way of accessing the shared memories of our lives. Remembering Together is supported by a small artist team and a group of dedicated volunteers who are apprentices on the European Reminiscence Network's Remembering Yesterday, Caring Today training programme.
The apprentices undertake a two-day course in Reminiscence Arts led by Pam Schweitzer, Director of the European Reminiscence Network. Please get in touch if you are interested in future apprenticeship schemes. Resonate Art’s Remembering Together projects have been presented at European Reminiscence Network conferences in Finland, Perpignan, Kassell and Barcelona. |
